LocalEtherWallet - (English)

LocalEtherWallet allows you to create an Ethereum online wallet for free, fast and simple with the necessary security to make your transactions online through an interface that allows you to interact with the blockchain Ethereum.

This interface allows you to import, for example, a generated file that contains Wallet's private key information, ie, LocalEtherWallet has no keys for you because you are responsible for your own security!

When you use LocalEtherWallet, you create a wallet with all your data stored on your computer, rather than creating a wallet on the platform servers. Just click the New Wallet button and start the process to generate your wallet.

After accessing the LocalEtherWallet site, enter a password in the text field and click the Create New Wallet button. This password encrypts your private key. This does not work as a seed to generate your keys. You will need this password + your private key to unlock your wallet.

eth2

The next step is to save your private key stored in a file, so do not miss it! The private key can not be recovered if you lose it. Do not share this information with anyone! Your funds will be stolen if you give this information to someone you do not trust!

Now that you understand that you must be very careful with the Keystore, click the Download Keystore File (UTC / JSON) button.

eth3

If you can not download the file, then right-click the Download Keystore File (UTC / JSON) option, enter a name for the file, and choose a location to save the Keystore.

Storing the key on your computer gives you full control of your private keys and passwords meaning you have the real property of your digital coins in your own wallet. This is a great advantage of LocalEtherWallet that allows you to manage your own private key and password information.

eth4

Do not open this file on your computer. Use it to unlock your wallet via LocalEtherWallet (or Mist, Geth, Parity and other wallet customers). Make a backup! Ensure it like the millions of dollars that one day may be worth.

Now that your Wallet file has been saved, you will need to access it. Then the next step is to click on the Send menu option and choose one of the options to access your wallet. How would you like to access your wallet? Choose the Keystore / JSON File option as shown below to access your portfolio. Click the SELECT WALLET FILE button...

eth5

Navigate to the location where the file was saved, select the Keystore file, and click the button to open your file on the LocalEtherWallet site.

eth6

When you click the button to open the Keystore file, the file will be loaded on the page! Remember that the Wallet file was saved with a password, so when you open the file, you will be prompted for the password that was previously entered. So enter the password, and click the Unlock button to unlock the private key and so load the Wallet on the site!

eth7

When you click the Unlock button, the data will be displayed on the site. Note that many information is displayed related to Wallet through the Send menu.

eth8

Through the Swap option of LocalEtherWallet you can easily exchange altcoins or blockchain tokens, enter your receiving address and send your funds. Swift exchanges in the encryption market, no fees and a smooth process.

eth9

Note that through the swap option you can switch to several types of currencies. Choose the currency you want to make the currency exchange transaction. After you enter the maximum amount allowed for the selected currency type, click the Let's do this! Button. to complete this action!

There is other information on the LocalEtherWallet site such as Send Offline that allows you to generate information online for the computer, another part allows you to work with Contracts, and also with Ethereum Name Service (ENS) which is a distributed, open, extensible name system based on the blockchain Ethereum. Once you have a name, you can tell your friends to send ETH to mewtopia.eth instead of the long address of your wallet such as 0x4bbeEB066eD09B..

Enter a desirable name for your mewtopia.eth, in my case I gave the name lunardelli. Click the Check ENS Name button. If the name you entered is available, the information that it is available to be your ETH distributed service name is displayed.

The next step is to click on the option to import the Keystore from our Wallet.

Another option available through LocalEtherWallet is the DomainSale which is a secondary market for the Ethereum Name Service, which allows you to buy and sell domains that you already own. If you used DomainSale to buy or sell domains and believe you have funds available for withdrawal, you can enter your account address here and it will give you a balance.

eth12

Another option available in LocalEtherWallet is TX Status that gives information about transactions that may be pending for hours, if not days, during periods of high volume (such as during ICOs).

This tool aims to give you the ability to find and "cancel" / replace these TXs. This is usually not something you can do. It should not be trusted and will only work when the TX pools are full. Please be careful and read about this tool on the website itself.

eth13

If you want to view information you can access the View Info menu item that allows you to download different versions of private keys and reprint your paper wallet. You may want to do this to import your account into Geth / Mist. If you want to check your balance, we recommend using a blockchain explorer like etherscan.io.

eth15

With this option you can print the paper wallet, download your keystore.
